About Shawn Collins

As a native of Kentucky I have lived here in Lexington for more than 23 years and can remember when the only thing outside New Circle Road along Richmond Road was the McDonalds and Bank One. My wife has also spent more than half of her life here in the Central Kentucky area and currently owns a printing supply company with her father and sister. Together we have three girls, Megan (9), Katelyn (5), and Samantha (2) who love gymnastics, dancing, ice skating and horses.

A Service Oriented Background

Prior to obtaining my Real Estate License, I spent twelve years as a restaurant manager for establishments such as The Marriott Griffin Gate Resort, Thomas & King Inc. Applebees, and O'Charley's. This background in service is the backbone of my real estate business. I will even guarantee my service in writing and let my clients evaluate me online for all to see.

Interests

Our whole family loves to snow ski including our 7 year old.

When there isn't any snow you can find us boating at one of the local lakes around Central Kentucky. Its the best way to look at waterfront real estate.

My wife and I also have a passion for remodeling houses and home improvement.

Community Involvement

Currently President of the Bluegrass Independent Brokers Network.

I am a former member of the Board of Directors for the Makenna Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money for the Kentucky Childrens Hospital.

I am president of the Home Owners Association for the Townhouses of Creekside at Andover.

Actively involved in the PTA at Athens Elemetary School.
